    Sounds Ordinary.

Seems to be lost — somehow

No place holy. No moment forsaken

Music of every kind, fills my ears with awe

    Without thought. Without hesitation.

    Ever present. Ever Satiated.

As I drift from room to room

    Curing my wildest elusive maladies

With all this sweet daze and frenzy

Dare I say, sweet talk and melody

Silence — seems to have lost the war

Now, when it comes. It almost overwhelms me

As if, to wage a war.

I fill my head with quiet sounds and whistles

To claim the remnants of my peace left so little

    Oh, it troubles me deeply

How it has come to this lately

    Where all these sounds ordinary

Can’t be heard — at all.

  • Castles in the sky

There is only despair in actions abandoned

It’s beautiful and pretty to speculate

To day dream and just wait

Betting on all the things that could invigorate

    The dormancy that lies inviolate

Time blows by like the winter wind

    Only despair, remains forever within.

  • Insanity

On and on in circles we go

Striving to numb every thought away

For to bask in the present is a task of its own

Insanity — is a much easier place

  • Dreaming

Sirens beckon you from the world of dreams

Like the yearning embrace of a lover as you leave

Sleep, she refuses to part with you

Ever so gently she asks – just one more moment

As you surrender all efforts and reason

Time shrinks and expands in what feels like eons of another life

Only to find yourself awake again

    With that bewilderingly familiar feeling

All in but a moments passing

    Just – one fleeting moment.
